Once again, Unified Caring Association (UCA) had the opportunity to provide emotional support tools to an organization that provides safety, healing programs and opportunities for young people who’ve been a victim of sex trafficking. Huckleberry House is an inner-city organization that has helped their California community for over 50 years. Among its many programs, is Huckleberry’s Advocacy & Response Team that works in collaboration with Children’s Protective Services, Police Departments, the District Attorneys, and the Probation Departments, to provide immediate crisis intervention and case management services for commercially sexually exploited youth.
Huckleberry has a big need for emotional support tools. Fifty sets of the Moonbeam Feeling Kit were provided by UCA to this well-established organization. Moonbeam will be distributed among the various therapists and counselors who work tirelessly in Huckleberry facilities to give kids and families the opportunity to heal and have healthier, more meaningful lives.
UCA continues to respond to and scout for organizations providing aftercare services to children rescued from sex trafficking. Emotional support tools and caring kits are available to support these children’s critical path to healing.
